  • Infant and Child Community Mental Health Services

    (0-14 years)

    The Infant and Child Mental Health Services provides access to timely consultation, mental health assessment and evidence based treatment for infants and children aged between 0—14 years and their families who are at risk of or experiencing a significant mental disorder.

  • Mother and Family Unit (Inpatient Mental Health Services)

    (Sub-acute)
    The Mother and Family Unit (MaFU) provides specialist emotional and psychological support and treatment for families experiencing difficulties during the perinatal period (pregnancy to 12 months postnatal).
    MaFU is a five bed Monday to Friday service for parents with mild to moderate mental illness requiring additional support through an inpatient stay."


    Self referrals can be made directly or we accept referrals from a Health Professional by calling 5320 8712 (Monday to Friday)

    The Emergency Department at Ballarat Health Services aims to provide you and your family with high quality care as efficiently as possible. All patients presenting to the Emergency Department are assessed on arrival to determine the urgency and severity of their condition.

  • Volunteering

    There are many benefits to be gained from being a volunteer at Ballarat Health Services. Not only are you giving residents, patients and visitors and staff much needed support to help them accomplish personal and organisational goals, but also you will gain enduring friendships and acquire new skills. Volunteers work in the day centres, hostels, nursing homes, Gandarra Unit, Dialysis Unit, Paediatric Unit and Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre (BRICC).
