BGT is a community based employment services organisation that places apprentices and trainees within a range of businesses. BGT is also a registered training organisation that helps businesses up-skill their staff. Individuals can also access training to develop, or build upon skills through a new qualification.

  • Springboard

    Springboard is a specialist service developed to assist young people transitioning from care. We provide one-to-one support and work intensively with young people to support them to gain and secure appropriate long-term education/training and employment opportunities. Springboard assists young people aged 16–21 years of age transitioning from, or who have left residential care, to gain secure, long-term employment by re-engaging with appropriate education, training or supported employment opportunities.

    Please call our Springboard Case Manager to discuss eligibility. Anyone can refer a young person to the program including the young person themselves.

    BGT is a registered training organisation (TOID 3683) that offers nationally recognised training services across Victoria

    The Training programs are designed and developed around your needs, offering flexibility that suits the individual and business. Whether you wish to learn in a classroom, flexibly or in the workplace as a trainee or an apprentice BGT can help.

  • Saver Plus

    Saver Plus is a 10-month financial literacy and matched savings program that assists people to build savings for their own or their children’s education and in doing so strengthens their capacity to save. 

    As part of the program, participants receive:
    -One dollar in matched savings for every one dollar they save, up to $500
    -MoneyMinded financial training
    -Personal support and guidance from a trusted community organisation

    At the end of the program, participants use their matched savings to purchase an education-related goal, which can include items like school uniforms, computers, and text books.

    You must be over 18 years and have a Health Care or Pension Card and have some regular income from work. You must also have children enrolled in a school OR be attending or returning to vocational education yourself.

    Participants must:
    -work with their Saver Plus worker to identify an educational item for which they intend to save
    -open an account with their local ANZ branch and begin making deposits
    -attend MoneyMinded workshops to improve their financial management skills
    -continue to make regular deposits into their ANZ Progress Saver account over a 10-month period
