  • Transitional Housing Management (THM)

    Providing a range of assistance to households in crisis as a result of homelessness or impending homelessness and; Assisting households in housing crisis to establish and/or maintain appropriate, secure and sustainable housing through the provision of transitional housing services.

  • Karrung

    Karrung is an integrated housing and support program for young people aged 16-25 years. It provides support to eligible young people from the Grampians region to engage in education, employment and training with the aim of moving towards independence and the prevention of future homelessness. Young people can stay in the program for up to two years. Karrung also has a Short Stay program. The expectation is that young people who are assisted through this program will stay at Karrung for an average of six weeks before moving onto a range of other accommodation and support models with the possibility of entering into the Foyer Program.

  • Counselling (AOD)

    Counselling and support for people 18+ years experiencing difficulties around substance abuse. Consultancy and support for professionals working with people who have substance issues.

  • Intensive Case Management

    For people aged 16 - 55 years who have illicit substance abuse combined with concerns around mental health, acquired brain injury and/or developmental delay.

  • Youth Outreach

    Youth Outreach counselling and support for young people experiencing problems associated with the use of illicit drugs and/or alcohol in a safe and comfortable environment.
    Support to family members of young people experiencing substance issues.

  • Tabor House Youth Withdrawal Unit

    Tabor House Youth Withdrawal Unit 10-14 day treatment program, 24 hours for young people under the age of 25. Safe, supportive environment for clients to withdraw from substances and embark on positive lifestyle changes. Brief counselling and health related information and support.

    Along with the general program, Uniting includes targeted group intake for single gender, Aboriginal, and couples to ensure that everyone can take part in the program in a way that makes them comfortable.

  • Emergency Relief

    Provides material aid and basic necessities to people experiencing difficulties obtaining items such as food, clothing, pharmaceuticals, educational items, and travel costs.

  • The White Goods Loan Scheme

    Provides no interest loans to individuals and families to assist with the purchase of essential white goods. Facing a Ballarat winter with four children and no washing machine, or a summer without a fridge sounds almost impossible. For those experiencing financial difficulty these items are often unobtainable. UnitingCare Ballarat is able to offer no interest loans to individuals and families to assist with the purchase of essential white goods.

  • Barnagnen

    Barnagnen provides psychosocial rehabilitation support to young people aged 16-25 years with a mental health condition that is impacting on everyday living and interrupting important life areas. It is a 12 month program which is run in a residential setting.

  • Dual Diagnosis Clinic

    The Dual Diagnosis Psychology Clinic is a bulk billing treatment service for clients aged 16 + with a co-occurring Mental Health and AOD problem. This service is a therapeutic treatment service, not a crisis response service. Referrals accepted from General Practitioners in the form of a Mental Health Care Plan or for the service fee of $100 per session.

    or by delivering Mental Health Care Plan to 121 Albert street.

  • Non Residential Withdrawal

    Clinical withdrawal assessment and outreach treatment in association with an alcohol and drug service or hospital.

  • BreezeWay

    Provides a substantial, hot nutritional two course midday meal every day of the year for people who are marginalised, homeless, living in insecure accommodation and / or have no cooking facilities. It operates from 10.30am to 1.00pm each day and services approximately 60 meals daily or over 1,700 meals per month. Take-away meals are also provided which include sandwiches and fruit outside the lunchtime meal. The cafe style environment is also a place of shelter during the winter months.
    People utilising BreezeWay may also be reffered to a range of services. These services could include programs such as homeless support, housing, alcohol and other drugs and emergency relief.
